NZXT Phantom LEDs

Thread Starter
Hello, was just getting into doing an all white LED Phantom and was looking for a little guidance on the LEDs. I would like to replace the 6 LEDs in the fan controller, the 2(?) in the power/reset button and the 4 in the stock NZXT 200MM fan.

I've watched a couple videos on general LED replacement and it seems reasonably easy with a cheapo soldering iron, but my biggest dilemma is all the weird shapes and sizes the LEDs come in.

Just curious if anyone would know which LEDs specifically I would need for this mod? I think I've read that they're 3mm but not sure about the voltage.

Will rep anyone who can lend me some assistance with this!

thanks

Also according to this post, the stock fan led specs are 5mm 5v?

Just came across this post as well, I'll agree with rather hard eek.gif My little fan mod problem seems like a walk in the park compared to this...

Alright, thanks for the feedback. I recently found SIolmatic's post on the NZXT forum detailing how he did it, so I took the plunge and bought 12 3mm white LEDs with resistors, a soldering gun, and some soldering braid. Should all be here by next Friday so I'll see how it goes.

Try replacing ALL SMT (surface mount) LED's in a Mazda 6, dash panel(s), radio, doors, steering wheel etc etc etc. Some guy did it for multiple ones.
