Hey guys these quadro drivers just released today and sure enough I thought as im running single card again
I'll test this driver out. Hope to see some improvments from the 270.51 that I'm currently using.
Anyway here goes, like always first up comes Metro 2033.
Metro Benchmark tool
- DX11 - 1920x1080 - Tesselation (enabled) - Very High - AAA - AF16x - No Physx or DOF GPU at 960c/1920s/2050m
Well it hasn't done badly, but I was expecting atleast a little improvement. Against the other's, it has take a very small performance hit that doesn't really signify anything. But none the less it's still a performance loss. Am i expecting too much, or am I being unrealistic in saying, that a performance boost of atleast 1-2fps is expected between drivers?? I really don't know. I guess the reason for this is to really tell which drivers are more consistant in performance in a variety of conditions. I know I don't really have that many games but im going to start doing some Lost Planet Benchmarks from the next driver set. Anyways lets crack on.
Next up Crysis GPU at 870/1740/2050
Well as you can see the driver didn't do so bad here, actually there is a slight performance increase in this bench. Average fps was slightly more than the 268.03 driver including the max fps it generated.
Next up Crysis Warhead 870/1740/2050
Again this driver hasn't taken a hit in performance, stands strong against the other's. Not really much to say on this one.
I started using the heaven becnhmark 2.1 on this thread as I do see quite a few people still use it. IMHO I think it's a pretty neat benchmark tool. Here's how the driver did against the 270.51 and 268.03 870/1740/2050
Not bad huh
This driver is kinda looking good. Here the difference between the points ain't a lot, however do remember it is still more than the other's. The average fps is slightly higher than the 270.51 at 35.4
Finally lets take a look at how it did in 3dmark Vantage. At the moment between all ten drivers the winner has been the 270.51 in this bench. So far it's actually been looking good.
Vantage - 870/1740/2050
Oh well, it does seem that the new driver couldn't make top spot here. I actually thought it did pretty well in a few of the other benchmarks. I'm in two minds at the moment. Im currently using the 270.51 and they have been great (not for folders though) and I do think that this driver can easly be compared to it. I may continue using this driver to see how it performs in actual gaming. The 270.73 has done pretty well and if you are having problems with the earlier verions then I would definitely recommend trying this.
Hope you guys enjoyed the read and remember suggestions on how to make this thread better is always appreciated
