Don't worry bud im sure they'll eventually get it right, till then rock on with the 950 core and 2200 memory, that's an amazing overclock!!!!

I'll keep you guys posted on how it does and I'll edit the review (280.19) as I go along.

Thanks for all the support guys, still can't believe my thread got a sticky
not the busiest thread but very good topic and is needed!!!!! I congrats you on the sticky BTW!

I also think that the 950/2200 was just luck as I used to never be able at first to get over 2100 but ran it at 2260 and full volts for about a week and then backed off to 2200 after I realized I was 2260 not 2160 lol and also did not mean to run at 1.212 lol. at that same time I also seen there was no difference between 9500 and 970 core for me so just stuck it at 950 and started backing volts down till I got lazy and forgot I was working on lowering it lol. But to my amazement it stayed where it is at for ever with out any probs other than driver probs! So I am just waiting for them to get them straight. I run every game at max (all 136 steam games) the only one not 100% maxed is GTA IV and even that is only the view distance

The reason I opened this thread is because many, even now, including myself and back in the days, use to ask, "what is the best driver for my card?" and since all those I issues I use to have with ATI back in the days with the older cards, I thought I'd do my own testing since moving to Nvidia. It's been a roller coaster ride but one that I am enjoying

Thanks bud your kind words are appreciated

Those clocks are mighty impressive, even better that you have it stable, like you said 950 to 970 isn't that much of a difference so no point stressing the card further. I think you got it just right!!

Keep up the good work!!

EDIT:

Finally Crysis 2 texture pack downloaded, now to check out the benchmark tool. If it works I shall be using in the future or might even edit the last couple reviews and add this, we'll see.

LOL havn't visited the ATI section since moving 7 months or so ago to Nvidia

Is there a thread like this over there? I think there should be! I think they need it more than we do, but not sure how mature there drivers have become.

Aint you guys lucky I moved over to Nvidia

The last line was kinda cocky lol, But as you know I have been always willing to give you my input and considering my Intel rig and my AMD rig (both running Nvidia) are for the first time in agreements on a driver lol. I have the new whql 280.26 on both rigs now and they both are doing well, The Intel even got some performance gains in Mafia2 and Arma2 I have yet to download more on to it (games) I only have GTA IV and those other two for my games and then my 14 year old has her Steam account on there with her games but they are no where GPU intensive so can't test it to the fullest yet. Plus the screen I am running has custom resolution which is a pain in the butt for benchmarking

Oh come on, allow the the cockiness just this one time, its only once in 4k posts

Your input is greatly appreciated and im glad you finally got a driver that works on both your rigs. I've download the 280.26, just installing it right now.

Wish me luck lol

EDIT:

Installed the game, the texture pack, 1.9 patch and DX11 and game works fine however, the benchmark tool doesn't want to work for some reason. Anyone know why:

Thanks guys. I'm looking to add this to the list of testing methods for the drivers in the future.

On the bottom left, click program options and link it to the right file. Apparently it's not installed on the path it's displaying.

Mine is here C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Origin Games\\Crysis(R) 2\\ not sure where yours is.

my crysis2.exe path is: "D:\\Program Files (x86)\\Electronic Arts\\Crytek\\Crysis 2\\bin32\\Crysis2.exe"

I've tried setting it to that without steam and it throws this error for some stupid reason:

Sorry guys, but I guess crysis 2 benchmark is off the list, just can't get it working. If you have any ideas let me know because I would love to add it to the testing.
