Review Of A Few Of The Latest Nvidia Drivers (incl* Xtreme-G) - Page 26

Question, how did you get 266.58 working with SLI?

http://www.overclock.net/13529630-post114.html

There is no SLI option in nvidia control panel and there's a heap of topics on this problem, the single solution I found did not work for me. It 'sees' both cards as I can use either for physx but it does not have SLI option.

Reason I'd like to try these is because both 275 and 280 drivers suck badly for BFBC2.

Thanks for the info! I'm about to get my system finally up and running for good under Vista 64bit and was wondering what WHQL single card driver to use. Sounds like I should stick with the 275.33 then (for a GTX 460, no SLI)?

What about users using the 990fx motherboards? What drivers should we use for best SLI performance.

Thanks, I know I must be missing something obvious but at the bottom I see you mention needing to add SLI profile. This is what confuses me as I can't see this helping if there is no SLI option under the SLI configuration area in the control panel in the first place? I did check the profile and it shows SLI for BFBC2 but with no SLI option to enable in the first place, the 2nd card just idles.

Example, this exists with the 280 drivers but only gives me physx option with the 266 drivers.

On your problem for Crysis2, sorry I don't have that game so can't help.

Geez. It looks like nVidia still hasn't fixed their issues with their drivers being extremely picky about SLI. I had this kind of problem way back in the 18x driver number era - basically I had to use 182.55 or summat and ONLY that or the computer would randomly crash in SLI mode.

Now I'm on a single card, and I really would like to know if the 275.33 the better one here.

275.33 and 280.19 for benching and 266.58 for gaming.

It was bought to my attention just yesterday that the new drivers added the support for SLI to be run on the 990fx mobo's, so unfortunatly you don't have any choice but to run the new ones, but be sure to check what other's have to say on that matter as I'm not 100% sure.

On your problem for Crysis2, sorry I don't have that game so can't help.

Sounds like the 266.58 doesn't support your card's for some reason, try the 275.50 or the 275.33.

Try the 280.19 and if that gives you issue's then go for the 275.33, again if that gives you issue's the 270.51 should work just fine.

Hope that helps

no worries, but that is better when it is running 2 cards, for a single card the 270.51 is a little better. Try that one before you try the 266.58. I always tell people to try the latest drivers without knocking them, I've had bad experiences with them, doesn't mean that you will, on that note try the 280.19 first then the other's
