Anyway Im using the 270.51, no bsods for yet but i havnt even checked the other drivers yet. Im gonna wait until I watercool my second card before I do any further tests. I found the 270.51 to perform the best when using a single card.
dam ebay just had two koolance gtx460 water blocks used but never used so new really, for 55usd each wish I grabbed them for you now, but did not know you wanted to water cool to

Thanks bro but im in the UK and shipping and everything won't really be worth it. I'm using non reference cards by the way. I got one under water already with my old swiftech mcw60 gpu only block (sig rig) at the moment I have a spare apogee gt cpu block that im planning to mod. Im gonna try and see what i can do with that before i buy a dedicated block for it.

opps the first one is extreme need to run 270.71 in extreme to put up comparison sorry

Thnx brad for that, i think testing these drivers will require analysing a lot of things ie constant gpu useage, performance etc.

I'll make a start on this later today. I'll continue updating the thread with a single card and in SLI. Thanks for your patience guys

A comparison between all those drivers and the 258.96 ones would be nice if you have the time, it would show how have the gtx 460's improved with the newer releases.

I think he has! I don't know if it was in this thread or not but I agree with the GtX460 has gotten better with age so to speak

To be honest I'm reluctant to test these, as they were the first drivers that came out for the 406's, since then I would expect I few improvments, however, when I do get some time I'll do that one aswell.

the extreme-g ones where much better than nvidia's with these plus they are not filled wit bloat stuff I think the file is only like 78mb or something half the size as the ones now

Sorry guys not been able to some SLI testing, as of now the second card is out of my system and nearly ready to watercool. Couple things left to buy, sekesui thermal tape and a couple fans. This is as far as I got.

Took the original plate off and modded another (spare mcw60 G200 Plate I think) that I had. Heatsink of the Apogee GT slightly bigger than the GPU which is good. Hopefully I can pull this off. Not bad for using CPU block for a GPU right

Once it's done I'll show you guys some results then I can finally carry on with this
