So http://www.frys.com/product/6480862 (EVGA GTX460 SE 1GB) in SLI or 1 XFX HD6950 2GB hopefully flashed. $240 after rebates sounds pretty hot.

I would personally go with the single card option if you have the money for it. Will help if you are playing any games that do not support SLI. Plus the 6 series is a newer gen of card and I always believe in going with newer over older when upgrading. Since the 460s are 1GB you will still only get 1GB since both cards load all the stuff onto both of them while rendering images iirc.

I'd go with the 6950 for $240 in all honesty. I have a 6950 myself and I can almost guarantee you that if you get one it will unlock to 6970 shaders and clocks. I have mine at max safe CCC speeds (950/1450) on stock voltages. Plus, one 6970 performs about on par with 2x 460s and you get the option of CFX later down the road, if you so desire. Just my 2c.
