Yes indeed!

I personally always do this when it comes to overclocking. (Speaking as if my entire system was stock, INCLUDING MEMORY: AUTO/1333).

I'll do my overclock in the BIOS, go to Windows, open CPU-z, Realtemp, and Prime95. I'll run Prime95 blend. If the overclocking is still going strong after 11-12 hours, that's 24/7 stable in my opinion.

My rig passed 11 and a half hours of Prime95 blend about two weeks ago and hasn't crashed since in games, windows, anything. I also leave it on 24/7, and it hasn't crashed during idle time.

To be honest, I'd give Prime95 a shot. If an overclock is really unstable, it'll fail within the first 5-30 minutes. That's what I've seen happen.

After I get my final overclock stable, I'll go back into the BIOS and set the memory from AUTO/1333 to its advertised DRAM Frequency, timings and voltages. I'll then run Prime95 Large FFTs for the same amount of time 11-12 hours, and if it lasts that long it's 24/7 stable to me as well.

That's the way I've been doing things. I haven't had my rig crash in about two weeks. If it does, I'll let you know.
Good advice!

Sick of this overclocking BS, I'm going back to stock. Too bad I already bought an expensive aftermarket cooler.
Dude, you are too close. Try a little more cpu voltage & up the drive strength on your ram (all sticks).
