I would take Swan M10's for a slightly better bass response, but I think the mids on the AV-40's would be better. I think the highs would be more or less the same on both. At this price range, you won't be getting any deep bass from the 2.1 or 2.0 systems.

I don't think I'd mind that much. I'm not much of a basshead.

Aww. I wish I had found this deal. That's a bit disappointing, haha.

Note: Yes, I know it was a while ago.

I personally own both the AV40's and the M10's. I listen to alot of Dubstep and Death metal so having the 2.1 was pretty curcial in replicating the sound of my music well.

The M10's are nice, although still lacking in bass for my tastes, the Av40's were worse of course but still good depending on the music you like to listen to.

This deal is still on, just not in the gold box section. Yea, I assumed the bass wouldn't be too heavy. The M10s aren't available atm, anyway.

I'd say get the AV-40's and if you aren't happy with the bass, buy a separate sub :]

Thanks. Ordered last night when I thought the deal was going to actually die at midnight. The deal is dead now, Woot has been removed as a seller from the refurbished section.
