HAF 912 vs 922

Thread Starter
Alright I have narrowed down the cases im going to get for my new build to these 2.

I can currently get the the 912 for $58 and the 922 for $90. So I have to ask is the 922 worth the extra money? does it have better airflow, easier to work with etc?

I personally like the 912 better
I was in the same dilemma about a month ago. I came to the conclusion after lots of research that 912>922 the cable management on the 912 is much cleaner, and the 912 looks better setup then the 922 IMO. They are about the same for airflow except the 922 can have a 200mm fan on the side. I wouldn't really say the 922 is worth the extra money. I ended up picking the 912 over the 922 but the discussion is up to you. smile.gif

Correct me if im wrong but doesnt the 922 come with a top 200mm fan while the 912 doesnt? thus wouldnt I have to spend an extra 20$ on a 200mm fan if I went with the 912?

I had the 922 and returned it. I didn't like how difficult it would be to clean, as well as the fact that the HDD bays weren't removable. I also didn't like the silver interior.

The Haf 912+ looks really cute (really?) and also performs well.

I have both I like my 922 a lot more. It seems like its more well made, the drive cage while not removable has a nicer rack system. The 5.25 bay tool less design is nicer and there is more room behind the mobo for cable routing/hiding.

The 912 is shorter and narrower so better for a small space and it it has removable drive cages but thats about the only think I like more. If I had to do it again I would have bought a haf-x for my sig rig and 922 for my smaller one.

I got both for the same price, the 922 was on sale at frys at the time.

I love the 912. I'd take that over the 922. Excellent cable management for a small mid tower.

For looks though, I say check out the Storm Scout too. It typically goes for $80 to $90.

I'm sure you will be happy with either. I think the 922 looks way better. What you have to think about future upgrades. Been happy with my case for about 1 yr. But now I'm wishing I got a bigger case.
