single gtx 560ti and dual monitors.

Thread Starter
I have a gtx 560ti and two monitors, one 28" @ 1900x1200 and a 24" @ 1600x1080. When I connected both monitors to the card, it seems to work fine until I play a game, twice in the past 24hours my screen has frozen mid game. I have the 28" connected through HDMI and the 24" connected through DVI.

Anyone know why I am encountering this problem? Should I be able to use two monitors off a single card with different resolutions?

any advice, help will appreciated.

I dont think the second monitor is the cause of the problem, Is the card overclocked? Might just need a bit more voltage

It is not overclocked. I have the 2gig palit gtx560ti. I specifically bought the 2gig version because I knew i would be running dual monitors and heard that the extra memory would help.

In theory, should I be able to run these monitors off a single card with no issues?

You should be able to. I've run a 23" 1080p and a 40" LCD TV off my 560 lol. Had no problems. Your card might be crashing though, so you could try giving it a little more voltage.
