Hay are you going to be using more than one monitor at a time for gaming if so you will want to go the 6970 route, more video ram is a MUST if you are going to be doing surround/eyefinity

Nah, just one monitor. I'm checking out those new Samsung monitors on Newegg, I may get the 27" or just stick with 24".

Dude the 21.5in 1080p Acer monitors are the best. The pixels are VERY close together. Dont go above 23in/24in at 1080p go for a higher res if you want a 27in monitor. Trust me

I was actually talking to a coworker today who kinda steered me into staying at 24" instead of going larger. So I'm looking for a size that is 24" or possibly a bit smaller that has insane quality. Like when I play Crysis, I want to be on the edge of my seat with intense colors, not dull. I know Samsung had like glossy finish on their monitors at one point. I always thought they looked amazing, but I don't know.

look for one with 100,000:1 ACM mine are only 50,000:1 and they are gorgeous..Thats also because the 1920x1080 pixels are smashed onto 21.5in instead of stretched to 24in.

Wow, mine is 1000:1... What have I been missing out on? lol. Okay so the higher the contract ratio, the better. The lower the response time, the better. Anything I should look for? I want 1080p for sure. I video edit and use Photoshop a lot. Video game all the time.

I'm not crazy for going 24" inches. Because I think I'm just going to upgrade my 32" inch tv in my room to something larger and nicer. Like 40" or something. And have my XBox 360 run Netflix and whatnot instead. Thats why I liked 24" to begin with, watching things from my bed.

Well, if you plan on upgrading, then just go with that 23" you posted. It seems fine and will serve you well.

I had that one for a 2 days then tried the preset color cofig button with the big "try me" sticker on it and POP!!

I returned it for a Viewsonic LED, was not 2ms nor had HDMI but looks sharper then the ASUS did and didn't have a blow up button on the front of it. Guy at frys said there was 7 more ASUS monitors in the back w/ return tags on them. Bad lot? not sure....... The ASUS 23" i have at work is fine.

The viewsonic has cleaner lines and thinner. I'm happy with the new monitor
