Also quality of reviews over quantity of reviews. e.g. you won't get like an audio related site to review PC cases would you? Why? Because that's not their speciality and they aren't expert in that field. Same applies the other way around.

the Beats have nothing going for it except for marketing and materialistic social conformity. Other noise cancelling headphones for the same price / cheaper isolate better, others sound FAR better for cheaper, others look better AND sound better for cheaper, a lot have far better build quality.....

Massive shootout that includes the Beats from a well respected reviewer: http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/...5g-added-04-07
Yes, I've read that guide several times. The only area that the Beats do bad in is the value. He doesn't recommend them at $300, but this is $150. I'm not trying to say the Beats are awesome, but they aren't complete garbage at that price point.

They still aren't a good value even at $150.

Maybe I'm just picky..

But, used beats at 150$ vs new headphones on par for same or less?

I prefer to be the first owner personally.. call me crazy...

read my post again. It's not even good value at $150 unless you value the noise cancelling and actually will use it, which most Beats users wouldn't if they weren't forced to and if you wanted full-sized headphones for a portable setup (in-ears isolate better than sound better for the cash).

The Beats have $100 sound quality (or you can even argue $60 sound quality if you want to compare worst value (Beats) to stupidly insane value (Superlux HD668B / Samson SR850 / DBI Pro) priced at $300
