You are selling the worth/value of the parts, plus the knowledge and research of which parts to purchase, plus installation/building, plus testing/overclocking/install/setup of software etc ... PLUS a custom paint-job.

I'd say advertise @ $900 o.b.o on Craigslist, perhaps $950, and be prepared to accept $800 or so.

With all the choices, the quality, the upgrade paths, the custom-paint, the testing, the overclocking etc etc you DESERVE at least $750 for this build, and deserve some profit in my opinion. It's not like the hardware is generations and generations old. People are still purchasing and building GOOD gaming PC's with exactly the standard of components included.

The only real and important fact - this is a brand-new, overclocked and tested build. You should be selling it from a business standpoint, not a "getting rid of old hardware" standpoint.

My two cents ...

I couldn't agree more. Most people (not the insignificant fraction of the populace here) are more than willing to spend extra money for someone else to do the work. Parts are only some of the cost when selling a build on CL/Ebay/whatever. This is why people specify in the appraisal if they are going to be selling to enthusiasts on these forums, or to the general public.

I sell computers and this would go easy 800.
Even when it's used I sell all my computers as Brand New Generation, that way the fish just bait the scam
And I'm not a scammer, just making money as repair man would.
I recommand all to do same.
I prefer to sell a custom PC to an old lady that I know it will last than grabbing a best buy computer that even the vendor knows the old lady will be full of problem within 12 month.

I also deliver/install for free
That also helps.

My TOP was $160 opened before but never used. The F3 was $60 a year ago. Stop accusing people of trolling. Retail for the TOP is $190AR, but no one will pay that for a HD 5850 now. It's closer to $150 or $160, since you can get an HD 5870, HD 6870, or GTX470 at those prices. Hyper 212s go for sale for ~$20-25 quite often.

212+ for 20 brand new

http://www.overclock.net/online-deal...-55-after.html
f3- for $55

A far as the 5850 goes, try and sell the thing here on the forums and try to 200 because you wont. They sell here for around 160-170 tops.

Before you accuse me of providing your with biased information check it up yourself.

You only think your rig is worth XXX price because thats the price you want to sell it for.

That just saying your only appreciate help from those who agree that your rig is worth more than what you bought it for.

Your basing your price on stuff that is bought brand new, even if you bought the stuff just a few days ago, why should you expect to get full price for it?

However the links i provided you above proves my point, so im sorry i refuted your troll claim.

I only provided you with my opinion backed up on what it will sell for on the market now. If you feel like that is incorrect then thats fine with me, however i wouldnt go around calling people trolls when you don't seem to comprehend how selling used parts go.
