So, I was plying BC2 and I left Afterburned n before I went to play. After a 30 or so minute session I looed Inside afterburned and, I dont know if im missing something or im completely stupid () but the GPU usage was from 75-88 and went into the nineties aswell.

the GPU is GTX 560 Ti, OC'd to 900mhz.

VSync is turned off, max settings ingame.

Im not being bottlenecked, am I ?

With a fast enough CPU your GPU should be at 100%, so yes, you are probably being bottle necked by your CPU, give it a bigger overclock? I have a pretty slow card so my CPU will max out my card under any game, no matter what, unless it is a very old game.

What's your CPU clocked to? I noticed a slight bottleneck with my Phenom 955 and my GTX 460 (around 85-90% usage; overclocking to 3.6 gave me like 5 more FPS ).

Hmm, thats strange, from everywhere I've read it says that the Phenom I got at stock should not be bottlenecking the 560.

In benchmarks like Heaven and 3dmark11 I get 99 (100) GPU usage as shown in furmark, if thats relevant.

But yeah I will be OCing the CPU when I get my new cooler, undecided which one im going to buy.

The Phenom is at 3.4ghz

It's a slight. I mean very, very slight bottleneck. I honestly didn't notice it until I checked my usage.

100% usage in furmark is normal because it's meant to stressing the GPU.

Get the Hyper 212+. It's cheap but has great performance. Just try to get 3.6-3.8GHz and you'll be good.

OCN has many users that keep saying things like that and unfortunately it leads to users making buying decisions off of those comments.

What resolution are you playing at? Are you getting low fps? Even if you have a bottleneck because of your processor it doesn't mean the game isn't playable.

^ This. Even with my minute GTX 460 bottleneck, I was still getting excellent frame rates. I could pretty much max most games at 1680x1050 with ~50-60 FPS.

Overclock your CPU and see if FPS improves drastically.

Or lower your settings to see if the fps increases, if not, you got a bottleneck.

My friend has a 965BE @ 4ghz with a 465 gtx, and has no bottleneck.

Bottleneck.

People can go back and forth all day but if your gpu is not 99-100% your being bottle necked. I had same problem. I do not think a gtx 560 ti should be bottle necking that phenom but maybe I just underestimate that card.

I had same problem moved to a faster clock cpu and poof its gone. Some say going to a higher resolution will help as it outs the load back on the GPU.

So if you ever plan on going SLI I would definitely be in the market for an upgrade.

BFBC2 is the game I noticed my prob too. SO don't worry its just a heavy game.

Mhm, what worries me though is that you say you had a bottleneck with a GTX 460 with(razr), a practically, same processor as me, But I have a GTX 560 which is considerably more powerful, that leads me to think that the bottleneck might be bigger.

Im playing at 1680x1050 - Everything runs fine, its just that I dont like to have a thought of something bottlenecking the GPU

Well when I get the new cooler and OC the CPU a bit, I think it'll be ok.
