Overclocking Ram Assistance_

Thread Starter
To start, I have my 955x4 BE at 4.0ghz with 200x20 at 1.428 volts(Completely stable via 8hours Prime95)

Then I proceeded to overclock the NB Frequency(I end up at 2800mhz) I raised the voltages(CPU/NB Voltage) to 1.255volts(Completely stable 8hours Prime95)

Next stop was the ram, From 1333mhz, I change the multiplier and jumped it to 1600 at 9-9-9-24-1T(Completely 100 percent pass Memtest) at 1.5volts_

Now when I get into windows and start Prime95 Blend test, I fail after 10 mins!! What voltage should I start increasing?

Add more voltage to CPU/NB Voltage?
Add more voltage to NB Voltage?

What voltage should I start increasing? I've ran the ram at 1.65volts and it doesnt help. I know damn well these ram are capable of 1866 9-10-9-24-1T as I've them previously in my sandybridge build that ran at this speed for a good month or so_

To achieve higher ram speed what voltage should I touch is the question =] aside from ram voltages of course.

CPU-NB would be the voltage to add
The CPU-NB may have gone beyond unstable when you swapped the RAM to 1600Mhz due to the IMC/NB being OC'ed and 1600Mhz indeed putting slightly more load on it; you should be able to run with perhaps 1 or 2 more jumps in CPU-NB voltage though

Thanks, that helped it =], apparently I had to add more voltage to the CPU/NB and with a bit more voltage to the Ram also, in the end it all turned out pretty good thanks_

By the way I must ask, the ram in your sig rigg_ what voltage are they running at? just wondering_
