Interesting thread. I was considering giving this case a try.

However, I have no interest in giving up my Corsair AX850... Is it certain that it's orientation is not compatible with the case layout?

The flat side is up with the AX850 btw.

why is the other orientation for the HCP1200 wrong? I have one, and it works either way in my FT03 (admittedly not a RV03, but has same PSU placement/limitaitons).

The corsair ax850 doesn't look like it would work, sorry.

The RV03's angled power connector is too short to accommodate PSUs that are mounted with their power cord input sockets oriented flat-side up. I haven't looked at the FT03, so I can't say why it is more flexible in this regard.

Ok, took a look at the FT03, and it looks like the angled power connector is substantially longer.

Silverstone should have done something similar with the RV03.

Didn't you say that the RV03's side panel wont go on if you used a longer cable and looped it? I think you should test this if you haven't already.

Get a sheet of paper and wrap it tightly around the cable. Then mark and cut the sheet so that it is the same thickness as the cable. Next, find something of the same thickness(and not flimsy), or reinforce the paper. Lastly, stick the paper/object in the area were the cable would be if it were longer and looped, and see if the side panel fits. Make sure to mention how well it fits(or that it doesn't fit), as well as how you got it to fit. Adding pictures would be extra, but they would also provide proof to people who don't believe you or think they know how it could work.

If you have a cord of the same thickness, that would work too.

I said it might interfere with the side panel, but without actually having a longer cord I was just eyeballing it.

You could probably force the side panel on if you could get a long enough cord to loop and reach some of these PSUs. You would need to remove the existing cord from the case, along with it's receptacle, and then you'd have a length of cord hanging out the bottom of the case.

If I have time I will see if I can manage more testing and pictures.

EDIT: I'll take some pictures of this side panel area once my Silverstone PSU arrives, and I'll try twisting one of my other high gauge power cables in a loop in the approximate location where you'd need to twist it for the PSUs that would require such a configuration, and then see if the side panel comes on. Expect an update in a couple of days.
