I would say stick to the 6950 for now and then you can decide if you need crossfire later.
Alright, so I guess staying with 750w wouldn't hurt then, just in case
Alright guys, I took out the 212 and added in the scythe, i'll order everything shortly. Any last minute changes / upgrades?

Looks like someone did their research. Only suggestion would be get an aftermarket cooler on that GPU, quieter, cooler and more overclockable imho

Alrighty, anything you would recommend? I've never used a GPU cooler, or have even heard much about them for that matter.

There's this
Cheaper than the sapphire after the MIR, but you can't bios flash it to 6970, but the reviews are saying you can OC it to 6970 specs.
Which would be best?

The Twin Frozr III (not II) has aftermarket cooling and it will unlock because it has the BIOS switch..me personally, I went with cheap reference cards and bought Accelero Xtreme Plus afterwards, but that only works if the reference cards are about $50-$70 cheaper than something with aftermarket cooling, which they were for me.

This card people are saying you still can't unlock it to 6970, but you can just OC it. The same as with the Twin Frozr II.

TPU did a review on both the II and III, they said they couldn't unlock the II because it didn't have a BIOS switch but they did unlock the III because it had one.

Hmm, I just don't want that review to be wrong (highly unlikely) and it come without a bios switch.
Do you think it's worth the extra 25 bucks for the cooler that (possbily?) might not be able to be unlocked to xx70?

Well..it depends on your preferences. I gave the reference coolers a chance but I couldn't deal with it. Up around 60% speed, they sound like hair dryers..

Keep in mind, with a single card config (or even CFX with good spacing) this may be more manageable with less fan, but for me, I couldn't stand the mix of the heat and the fan noise.

I believe it would unlock but if it doesn't you can usually talk Newegg into a free return with no re-stocking fee if you feed them enough crap

In the end it's up to you, I went reference cards because they were cheaper, added on the coolers later.
