Are you seriously going to attack me?

i have owned the mugen 2, sure, for the price, there's not much better, but obviously OP wants something near 100, so i shot down your suggestion.

Not sure if you know, but the Mugen 2 is a Pain to mount, true story, in comparison with other heatsinks. Whether you listen to me or not, is up to you. Im just stating facts. And yesh, it's heavy and bulky. People cannot care about something heavy?

Not everything on this website has to be overkill, fyi. You must be an ____ to believe it is.

Kthanks bai

I'm using an H70 that I picked up for $70 from NCIX (on an instant rebate).

Easy to install, keeps my cpu running at 4.5ghz mid 50's celcius under load.

I got a bit fed up with monster air coolers that bent my motherboards...

Let me guess, put it upside down, put mobo on top, etc. etc.

really. no other way to easily mount it.

and btw, there's not much u can attack me with. u mounted 2 mugen 2's fine?

i've take my mugen 2 off and on my socket 775 and 1366 mobos over 20/30 times due to the fact that my mobo didnt have a cut out. I've had my share of mounting experiences, and trust me, i do not want to do it again. Especially with the 1366 socket ( remove backplate and socket screws, in order for the mugen backplate to fit ).

Not worth it. For 100 bucks, OP can expect to not have to fiddle with a time consuming mounting style

maybe the OP isnt like you with your remounting etc
and yeah putting everything upside down is the easy way for me (only need 5 minutes for that)
luckly i dont have a Mugen 2, only mounted 2 in other pc's

I would just go for the Corsair H70. Installation is a breeze, its not big and heavy so it won't warp anything. Who knows, might inspire you to get a real water cooling kit down the line

Only go for H70 if you can find it for cheap. The Antec Kuhler H20 620 in various reviews has shown it to get really close to H70 performance while being like $20-30 cheaper.

If you're still interested in SA/D14, go to Directron, can get either for around low-mid ~$80's each.
http://www.directron.com/nhd14.html
http://www.directron.com/silverarrow.html

Both are quiet and cool well, but if your ram is taller than the pictures show in the link at my sig, you'll have to move the fans to a a different setup.

Mugen is old and it's mounting system has been harshly critized. It can cool decently well, but as with anything will fall short to top end air coolers and possibly even the hybrid water coolers, but the op better options. I mean if you're gonna go for a Mugen 2, my as well go for a Susanoo (now I'm almost serious).
