Swan D1010MkII08 vs av40

Which one should I get? I'm aiming for pure audio quality.
edit: Looking at other swans now.

I have the AV40s. If I were to go back and make this decision, I would've gone with the M10s. Not because of sound quality, but because the M10s come with a sub. Whereas with the AV40s, I had to buy one. And it wasn't even a good one at that. I later found out it was one of the crappier subs. It's a Polk Audio PS110. I could have saved ~$150.

However, if money isn't too big of an issue, maybe you should get the AV40s so you can choose your own sub.

And again, this has nothing to do with sound quality. I don't know much about sound lol. I just thought maybe my little anecdote would help a bit.

EDIT: Damn, I am out of it today. Just saw you said 'I'm aiming for pure audio quality' and my whole post had nothing to do about it hah. Well, free bump for youz smile.gif

I have not heard the Swans but I do have the Av40's and love them. Like really love them. If you plan on getting a sub anyway later on down the road the M-Audios will stand up on their own for a while. They have a decent amount of lows.

Bumpity bump bump. If i get the av-40s i'll need a nice little sub, 12" at the most 10" would be preferred, and under 150$.

Don't get a sub until you hear the AV-40s.

I've decided on the av-4os and getting a sub later, from what i get the m-audios have a SQ more to my taste.

Havent heard the M10 but can say the AV40s sound quite good. The AV40 + Sub should easily be better though so get that if you want room to upgrade.
