Haf 912 front bezel mod question

Thread Starter
Does anyone have ideas on how I could convert my Haf 912's front bezel into a door type mechanism, so that I can just swing it open instead of having to pull it off?

What I've thought of so far is just using magnets for the part to make it attach to the case, and a couple hinges on the other side.

Does anyone have examples of something like this? Any experience doing this?

Im not sure if this is possible since when you have the Disc drive installed it sticks out quite a bit. Meaning that you would have to cut the holes for the drive even larger, you would then have to be able to cover them up after.

I have the Haf 912 and just when i pull mine off it almost gets stuck on my NZXT fan controller. i don't mean to be negative but i really don't think its worth all the trouble.

Why did you want it to do this anyways? (just out of curiosity)

Just like me, it is a hassle to take of the front pannel. You have to take off uth of the side pannels, then push all 6 tabs multiple times utill the front panel is finally lose. I take my pannel off around once every week or so to clean the dust filter and take a little dust off the fans. A door-like mechanism wouldn't work

Haha, I was looking at pictures (my Haf 912 hasn't arrived as yet), and it looks like the usb/sound ports would interfere with a door mechanism.

You guys are right. The only other thing I can think of is just taking off the plastic tabs that stick into the case and just putting magnets on the plastic bezel.

I don't think I'll do that though unless the plastic tabs break.

Don't worry, the tabs don't feel like the breaking type.
