Haha thanks but now i am even more confused half the experts are saying no and half of them are saying yes.:\ Can you somebody give like an explanation or such of the total power consumption and if its exceeding 305 watts ,if its not too much to ask.:\ Thanks a lot by the way.

I have my parents running a 8800gt (basically same as 9800) and an i3 with minimal other hardware on a Antec 380W eco PSU, so if that psu actually performs within spec you should be ok. As others have said though, a higher (450W max) rated psu should solve any issues you might or might not have

I just need it for moderate gaming like running new games like Crysis 2,Bioshock 2, Dead Space 2 ,etc. on medium and such.

With the HD4650 the entire system is probably going to draw 150 - 175w tops (estimate).

I am really short of cash and i have a tight budget i wont be able to spend extra for a 450 watt PSU .

Ok then can someone suggest me a really good card which is as good as these cards and costs as much as these cards and will work on my 305 watt supply.

I would definitly get a 4670 rather than a 4650, for only a little bit extra in consumption you get a lot more in performance. What exactly is your budget and where are you buying from? With these details we may be able to recommend something even better.

Probably the HD5570, it draws about the same amount of power as the HD4650 so it will be fine.

I dont think i can afford even a little more consumption as thats the real problem here.:\\ And card around and about as good as the 4650 or 9800gt will do.
I live i Bombay, India but the rates are almost the same as the US . Mybudget is like 5000rs which is less than 100$.
