Aren't those supposed to be pretty amazing? I have three AP-15s and have been hunting for a good deal on 3 more, but they are impossible to find in stock.. Kind of wish I had of went with the gelid wings.

I picked up my AP-15s from aquatuning a few weeks back; they came from Germany and were on my doorstep 2 days later on the East Coast, USA. Great fans too, I highly recommend them if you can find them. As for other fans, I have no idea, sorry :/

Pressure, or rather the fans ability to create a pressure differential is, like you said, very important for getting a molecules through the rad fins. For the silent approach I highly recommend going with a medium speed set of fans in push/pull with a shroud, at least on the front set of fans (shroud). This is going to give you a very solid performance without much compromise in temps (as it relates to high speed 1800~3000 mashed up to the rad). Theres always the faster fan and adding a speed controller.

I personally went with 6x YL medium, as stock as they come, and even now, wouldn't cost me more than 4 dollars a fan. Open chassis as well, opens up some build options.

Get them fast if you want them... when I ordered mine 50 came in stock, they were gone in the matter of 2 hours, lol

AP-14's if you can't get AP-15's... lol. Seriously though, nothing is like typhoons for their distinct sound and the amount of air they push through rads.

AquaTuning had me with their awesome low prices and fast shipping... Little did they mention that their estimated shipping I guess doesn't count across the sea. That shipping price down below was for just 2 fans. And it was EXACTLY the same if I added a reservoir to the order.

If you're looking for a rad fan, the Akasa Vipers are superior to the GTs IMO. Similar noise and CFM, higher SP. I only use my GTs as case fans.

$18 shipping? Pass.

I don't know if AP-15s are $50 better than my S-Flexs.

Another vote for Akasa Viper fans. Just wish they were solid black like the Akasa Apache fans. Or if the Apache fans spun faster than 1300RPM. I have Vipers on my Rad, and thinking about getting some Apaches for my case fans. PWM FTW
