Overclocking Dell PC

Thread Starter
I want to overclock a Dell Inspiron 537 to 3.2GHz to get better performance. My parents gave me this system but they should have gave me $400 cash instead so I can put in some of my money and get something good.

My system:
Dell Inspiron 537
Pentium E5200 at 2.5GHz and 800MHz FSB
3GB (2GB+1GB) DDR2
320GB hard drive
Intergrated video
Windows 7 Home Premium (from free upgrade)

Do you know how to overclock this system? Can I or I can't.

Note: I'm not replacing the motherboard or RAM or anything other than the CPU cooler as I could get a new system.

Can't. OEM PC's have locked bios.

Unless the bios is flashed or something the above poster is right, it cannot be done

what other CPUs are supported on that board? You may be able to pinmod it if your board would support 1066MHz FSB chips.

E5200 are pretty good overclockers.
