OCZ OCZ700GXSSLI-B GameXStream 700W B-stock $39.99

First of all I am not recommending this power supply I am just showing that its
available for purchase. Before you even think about it please consult with the Power supply guru present on the forum. I did not purchase 1 for myself since I already have 2 PC Power and Cooling 750's as backups.

Well for a sh-t psu i got 2+ yrs ago and currently running 2x 460s on it i am impressed.

over 2 yrs ago i was all over the web looking for reviews on this model and i couldnt find any reviews saying it was bad.

http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/O...eam700W/4.html

They pretty much all say the same thing. Does everything it says it should. well over clocked 920 with overclocked MSI talon 460s seem to agree.

Yeah I just looked it up too. Can't find anyone that really considers it a bad PSU. My only complaint is that it only has one 6 pin and one 6+2 pin PCI Express power cables. My GPU already takes two 6 pins, so there's no native way to run two GTX 285s without adapters or going with the 850W version.

It's not a bad psu http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php...Story2&reid=24

The only bad thing about it is the horrible ripple, but it is acceptable around
~500w(which is what most systems will use, possibly even less)

For the price, I would recommend it.

i would put this some where in the middle really. its obviously not a seasonic or corsair. its not a $200 gold series unit. for the price thought your not gona find a better built psu for a basic system. I have mine running SLi right now and im prolly pushing my luck but with my math im still around 600w. For a single card system this would be fine i say.

Just gotta keep in mind of the ripple on the high end. so if you are looking for 700w in practice spring for a corsair lol. If youu need a 400w-500w and just want the headroom for occasional spikes , efficiency , peace of mind....it works

Isn't B-Stock usually beat up boxes and old stock? This PSU is 'reconditioned'.

I'm not bashing the quality either. Before I got my Antec I was running a GameXstream 750w. It did have some serious ripple, but it was a good PSU otherwise.

I'm on the fence with this as I could really use a cheap/reliable PSU for my folding rig...

I've been using this PSU in my sigrig for I dunno, 4 or 5 years? My only gripe is that it isn't modular (my fault) and that its kind of loud. Nothing intolerable of course.
