AMD E-350 Overclocking - Page 5

Hi guys I have find a way to provide you a hope to OC the E-350 processor by getting a modified bios. You can go to the thread and look for solutions. If you find you have the same machine with the thread, you are very likely to get a modified bios soon!

Hi all,

I'm one of the newcomers to this forum (only one post, hehe), but I've not found the thread by searching "overclock" but "replace heatsink zacate".

I want to buy a nanoATX board for a download server, so I'm not interested in overclock but yes in passive cooling since I'm going to use a passive sourcepower with a nanoATX case.

My first choice was this Atom board with passive cooling but I 'd prefer a zacate platform since power consumption is almost the same beign more powerfull.

The problem is that zacate boards with passive cooling are too expensive (the cheaper is 134 euros) and the ones with reasonable price have a tiny heatsink with fan (This Sapphire is 85,46 euros

In case of getting this sapphire it woud be not advisable but NEEDED replacing heatsink with a bigger one in order to work fanless. And... this is the question: "Will i be able to do this??"

I've succesfully replace small heatsinks in VGAs with old cpu heatsinks, like this ATI 6470 that had a miniscule heatsink that I replaced with an old pentium 4 one:

So the idea is doing something similar, but i'm afraid becouse of the limit in height becouse of the nanoATX case and the little space around the processor that apparently exists watching the mainboard's images.

So that's all, I would appreciate any opinion.

Thanks

I have an Asus E35M1-M Pro with the E350. Curious as to what overclocking settings I should use. It comes with a built in OC tuner I just don't know what settings I should be using. If anyone has any experience with this board I'd love to hear about it. Thanks!

I got my laptop with an AMD E-350 APU
Acer Aspire 4253-E352G32
This is the results:

I don't know where it came from because the speed only last about 3 minutes.
Can it be considered an overclock?

This is my stock speed:

One more thing, check out the SpeedFan app.
I've changed the Pwm2 to 5% and Pwm3 to 4%.
After that, Whoa!
The speed changes drastically......

I'm sorry if my English was bad, I'm a Malaysian and I'm still 16 years old.

There is a bug with CPU-Z and the Zacate APU's. There's another post above this one where a person got a reading close to 4 GHz on an E-350, which was rejected by CanardPC as impossible.
