Man this case is terrible for air cooling, unless you cut some holes in it and throw some extra fans at it.

Also I would get a ref vid card just incase you ever go water cooled...

i eventually want to watercool, and i think its the world's sexist case, ever.

what card, can i get anything more powerful for the price? the reason i chose that 570 is because it has a better power phase (what causes the problem with overclocking from what i have seen)

Well you just want to make sure you have a ref card if you go water as the blocks are made for ref cards.

And if your not 100% set on the 570 i would suggest AMD's 6950 2gb that can be unlocked to a 6970. I am an nvidia fanboy and have been for the past 8 years or so but once everyone started unlocking these 6950's for $100 cheaper than a 570 I had to hop on that bandwagon.

It's not a bad idea, but the GTX 570 is cooler, quieter and if you get a reference model it will exhaust out the rear of your case, instead of dumping hot air like the phantom, I have the 580 phantom, it just dumps all it's heat in my case lol! I'm not bothered though, as my case is pretty damn good for air flow, and extremely quiet.

Also, can I suggest an i5 2500k build? I'm in the UK too, I wouldn't jump the gate on this one, prices are coming down at the moment, quite a lot, scan.co.uk's prices have been dropping too, my card is already £30 cheaper after 3 days.

I haven't bought the rest of my new build yet, just the GTX 580, I'd highly suggest getting a GTX 460, i5 2500k, same RAM, same PSU, etc....

I would then replace the 460 when kepler comes, I regret purchasing my 580 now, but nevermind, it's not even that good, I get 44FPS on Crysis 2 maxed out at 1920x1200, I'm not impressed.

Although I rarely see it go below 44FPS, and when it does it's by 5fps or so.

ANYWAY, I'd highly recommend waiting. UK is being a bellsniff at the moment, prices all over the place!

I look at scan pretty much every day, monitoring the prices, as I like to see what I can build for what, and know where my build stands (Yes I'm a saddo!), at the end of the day it's up to you, but I would personally wait until the perfect deal comes along.

I like it but seems like you're spending a lot of excess.

You really don't need 850w. See if you can grab the XFX 750w XXX PSU. They are normally cheaper and modular as well.

The case is a personal choice so that's that .

bit late now haha! ordered, i over budgeted so i had to cut out the ssd and new ram, although i may be getting £240 next week so it is sure on the horizon, i will sell my pvr soon and ssd is definetly my next upgrade

i ended up ordering the screen, wireless, 700d, h70, hx850 (may go crossfire and w/c) and most importantly, a 6970 2gb reference ASUS, so it has a better cooler than any other reference card, and i can crossfire on my mobo! so that will propably happen soon, thanks all, delivery tommorow!
