Possible to get a well cooled GTX570?

Thread Starter
First of all, I was going to buy a "Asus DirectCUII GTX570"

But then I saw this thread here
http://www.overclock.net/nvidia-cool...s-vf3000f.html

#4 in that topic, claims its a very bad cooler, and NOT very quiet at all.
But at the same time, the few reviews ive seen of the card says its quiet...***????

And then theres that other thread "My GTX570 possibly burned due to the AC Xtreme Plus (GTX570) + outdated review"
Where people says GTX570 have bad VRM quaility.

I'm not planning of overclocking the graphiccard (dont ask me why). I plan on running it on lowest fanspeed as possible. Most likely a constant fanspeed no matter the load on the card. Max 30%-35% fanspeed.

So what GTX570 should I buy? I got an friend who have the "sparkle calibre GTX570" which already have an AXP mounetd on it from factory. But he cant go below 40% fanspeed.
I saw in other topics people talking about a "twin frozr III", but dunno about that.

The problem arises only if you overclock or change the stock fan profile. If you are running everything stock it should be okay. I have the EVGA GTX 570 and it's running great at stock settings.

What about the DirectCuII cooler? is it really as noisy as #4 claims, in that link to the other topic?

Zalman VF3000F is also another possibility. And then just run it constant in silent mode (1400RPM)

Or wait for Twin frozr III?

noisy? not at all...
temperatures? very cool... when benching or folding it only hits 55-56C compared to 70+ for reference cards?

I also have it OC'd to 900MHz at 1.125v
it has better VRMs than standard cards...
and 8 power phases, i forget how many the regular cards have, but its less than 8.

The AXP @ 40% is pretty much silent. I could barely tell the difference between min and 100% when I had mine.

+1

card runs cooler than any other 570 i've seen on this forum so far. It does sound like a jet engine when you turn the fan up to like 68%+ though. I never break 65c with 50% fan though so gg.

Alright, im convinced

I'll grap the "Asus DirectCuII GTX570" and keep it at stock speeds, and run its two fans at range 30%-40% no matter the load.

And if its still too loud for my sensitive ears , I'll just have to look at the Zalman VF3000F, and see how that performs.

Now I just dont hope the twin frozr III will be superior (when it comes out), to the DirectCuII I'm about to buy
