Good day fellow enthusiasts,
I am seeking advice for a FSX Rig, that I am planning to get myself!!!
Sadly I am financially limited, but ask you to help me get the best performance for my money!?
I was thinking of getting a Core 2 Duo E8500 as CPU, but haven't decided what's best when it comes to RAM,GPU (ATI preferred), Motherboard and the essential Drives.
Hope you can help me out here!

Well I would like to keep the budget as low as possible, but gain the most out of what I got! It's going to be a PC just for Microsoft Flight Simulator X!!!
So is anyone able to come up with Rigs that will achieve 25+ in fps?!

If your set on going Intel, and running it cheap then I would take a look at the i3 2100. Some decent combos under $200 on both newegg and tigerdirect. Ram is pretty well priced right now, but I wouldn't know what GPU to suggest until you let us know what monitor/resolution you are looking to game at. Some more info like price range and resolution would be very helpful.

I built my sig rig mainly for fsx also.

I would highly recomend getting an i5 2500k with any p67 motherboard which will allow you to reach atleast 4.5ghz and make fsx run super smooth. Once you have fsx be sure to update to service pack 2 to make full use of all 4 cores. 4gb memory is plenty enough for fsx, I am using rex and gex @ 1900x1200 resolution all sliders maxed out with no problems what so ever.

Fsx is mainly cpu dependant so make sure you concentrate your funds on this. The graphics card ideally needs a minimum of 1gb memory but does not need to be the best out there. Be sure to type in google "jesus fsx cfg" and swap out your fsx cfg file for this tweaked version it transforms fsx so much!

any other questions just ask
