Adding a second C300

Thread Starter
I've already got a Crucial c300 128gb, and ups will be delivering a second tomorrow. My original plan was to raid 0 them, but after doing some research online I'm worried about losing TRIM. Apparently the c300 drives do garbage collection, but I am not sure if that would be sufficient. Really I'm just new to SSD, and some of this stuff is a little confusing. So now I'm thinking of doing this.

1st C300 = Windows
2nd C300 = Steam and Games
1tb F3 = Music, Videos, and older games.

Just need some suggestions really. I don't really care that much about the benchmarking, and so forth.

GC should be sufficient.

Do you really need 128gb just for Windows and productivity apps??

Applications might go on that drive as well. I doubt anyone uses a computer for JUST games.

Just remember that it's very hard to split your steam folder across 2 drives. I know it's possible, but I've heard that there are some problems doing it.

Probably not. Originally I was just going to use one drive, but after seeing how fast it was, I decided to get another.

So should I just raid 0 them, and use the F3 for music, videos, and other crap?

Thats what I would go with. You'd also have more room for Steam and wouldn't run into a situation where you'd have to swap games off/on etc.
