Abnormal voltage on my i7-860?

Thread Starter
I recently downloaded cpu-z to monitor my cpu, and it is showing my clock speed as 1.2ghz and my voltage at 2.94v..... My cpu is at 30C idle, and I'm not sure why my voltage is showing this high.

I can't see your pic.

But there is *no way* your cpu is getting 2.94 volts. Might want to download the latest version of CPUZ as it probably is outdated and inaccurate.

Okay, I know it's not right, but I'm trying to figure out why it's doing this. I'll try a reinstall just in case it's a problem with the file I installed.

Maybe CPU-z is reading it wrong or the BIOS is reporting it wrong or whatever.. I doubt it's 2.9v.. wouldn't that just kill the chip..
