Questions about BOOTSECT

Thread Starter
Hey guys, trying to make a bootable USB flash drive to install Win7 from, and I was just wondering what bootsect actually does to the drive? Since after this I'll be wiping the Win7 files off my drive to use it as a regular flash drive, I just wanted to know if simply Ctrl+a and delete will be fine, or will I have to do a full reformat?

Thanks!

I'd just do a full reformat. Certainly isn't gonna hurt anything.

Not exactly the answer to your question, but does give some insight:
