They're factory OC'd, so I don't really plan to OC them. Plus, it looks like the specs as they are can support most of the latest games anyway

BTW: Realize that the PSU you linked is 80 Plus Gold, so when price comparing to another PSUs, take that in mind.

It depends: if it says "OCZ" anywhere on the specifications label, then it's not the quality that the name "PC Power & Cooling" is known for. However, if it's one of the classic PC Power & Cooling units, then you have a good one.

it was the evga oc edition so i guess it wasnt COMPLETELY stock, but ya... When I received the 'new' card I first went on to stress it with oc scanner and after 10 min or so computer shut off. It could not have been the core because the temps were fine 70~. Next time I turn it on the computer shut off after 10 sec of oc scanner. After that my pc never boot up. I took out the the gtx 570 to confirm if it was indeed my graphics card that was faulty and yes... my computer boot up fine when gtx 570 was not in there. DAMN YOU EVGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

$200 for an 850w PSU... I can't help but think its too much, save yourself a lot of cash and get something almost as good, but about half the price.

I like my OCZ ModXStream 700w modular PSU. Works fine and I've had no issues (other than slightly short cables... Needed to extend some of them to do a nice and clean wire hiding job in my Full Tower Case. Cost me $54 plus tax with $8 shipping... You could take the $150 saved and buy an SSD, or more GPU power... or just pocket the money and be happy.

These tests suggest that I need an 800W+ PSU if I plan to SLI the graphics cards and overclock the CPU.
Price-wise, this should be within my budget, and I really don't want to skimp on the PSU.

I think the reason why they make that recommendation is because they don't want to spend the time to explain that if you get a high quality 750W power supply, then you're absolutely fine. That would mean that they'd have to devote an entire page to educating people about power supplies. I mean, they need to keep their article focused on the review.

I think it's one of the good ones, a Silencer. I'll double check the label though. Thank you.
