Am I pushing it with an 850W? - Page 5

I'm not 100% sure, but I think another clue is that if it's a "Mk II" Silencer, then it's one of those lower quality OCZ-made units.

I think that even SeaSonic's 460W X-Series PSU could power a system with a single GTX 570 in it!

So yeah, you have enough power. smile.gif

That power supply is enough to power SLi 570s without a sweat.

Order the AX-850 and have a blast!

Alright people, I'm back with another concern:
I was reading some customer reviews on the AX850, and it seems like the cables are extremely short. Will this be a problem if I'm going for this case?

And one more question: is this PSU compatible with my motherboard (MSI P67A-G43)

Well, with my case, I had some trouble with the 24 pin connector but I was able to get it connected. However, one of the PCI power cables would not reach my video card as space was a little tight in routing the cables behind the case but you can always buy extensions. I would not be worried about it.

The case looks absolutely massive. I don't want to have to go through the hassle of getting extensions, and I also don't want too much tension on my cables.

I wonder if going for the HX850W would be better...

I have a HAF 932 and an HX-750 and all the cables are long enough.

You can get colored sleeved extensions for like 10$ each. Not the cheapest route.

I have the HX850....

I mean, the cables are not that short but for me to get optimal cable management, I need to buy 2 sets of extensions.

I think you will be fine going with either one.

HX850 is quite a bit cheaper than the AX850...are they equal or close in quality?
The HX850 has a lot more customer reviews on it and a higher rating, too
