Identifying my speakers

Thread Starter
Hi, I am trying to identify at least the qaulity of my speakers but hopefully the model. It came with a dell system at least 10 years ago. The only marking I can find on them say harmon/kardon. It has left and right channels and a subwoofer. So I geuss it is 2.1 channel. I know this doesn't explain much but atleast I would like to know how the brand is usaully at least.

After a little looking around, I'm going to say that's the Harman Kardon HK-395. Not that I can comment on the quality of em, but at least you (probably) know what it is now = )

Thanks, now that I know the model I can try to find a reveiw somewhere. I am wondering irf buying a soundcard would be worth it with these speakers. I doubt it, however these are the best speakers I have ever listened to, to be honest. So, the reveiws will tell.

buying a sound card is always worth it even if the speakers aren't the greatest.

I now also wonder if my soundcard from the dell I stole the speakers is any good. I think it was somewhat decent, but I will go check it tonight. I think I might spend the time and install linux on it tonight too so it will actually run somewhat decent. I think it's a pentium 4???? I don't know alot of intel cpu's.
