It's been fun to do, that's why. I don't "need" the CPU to be faster to accomplish any of the tasks I use my desktop for, but it sure is nice.

I'm going to order some mosfet heatsinks today. Are there other bits that look like they need more cooling on my board?

I need to do some thinking about getting better air flow over that area. I think moving the radiator forward and having an exhaust fan at the top-back of the case might get a little more cooling.

I got to 4.2GHz last night. I made the changes that were suggested earlier and it worked like a charm. It did take 1.525v on the CPU to get there and make it stable. It was getting a kind of late and I wasn't thinking too clearly when I made some changes. At one point, I had the CPU NorthBridge around 2400MHz, but I lowered it to get the board to post.

How high can I go on the CPU NB VID Control? I ask because at 4.0 the CPU voltage was at 1.450 which I thought was good.

I still don't have a good understanding as to what changing the memmory timimg does. I'll try to read up on that this weekend.

Just raise it slowly 'til post (and stable). You can go as high as your CPU voltage. 1.55Vmax. usually needs like 1.30-1.35V for CPU/NB @ 2600

The watercooler will help but it still seems your temps are rather high, at the same speeds with air cooled I was cooler than you are with the H50. Ambient may be too high.

Try using IntelBurnTest instead of Prime95, I found that IntelBurnTest will produce much quicker results while stressing your system for stability more than Prime95 in a shorter period of time.
I so agree with what you said about the IntelBurnTest thats what I use.

... but IBT or LinX will not test your CPU/NB
LinX passed 50 runs, P95 crashed in less than 5 min... my overclocked CPU/NB was unstable
