I can't overclock my Phenom II X4 965!!!

Hi, I'm new here... I'm trying to overclock my Phenom II X4 965 (stepping C3) but I'm not able to do it!!! The best that I reached was 3.7GHz! I want to reach 4GHz!

This is my 3.7GHz overclock

AI Overclock Tuner [Manual]
CPU Ratio [17.0x]
FSB Frequency [217]
PCIE Frequency [100]
Dram Frequency [1447MHz]
CPU/NB Frequency [2170MHz]
HT Link Speed [1953MHz]
***************************
CPU Voltage [1.4500]
CPU/NB Voltage [1.100]
CPU VDDA Voltage [Auto]
Dram Voltage [1.68]
HT Voltage [Auto]
NB Voltage [Auto]
NB 1.8V Voltage [Auto]
SB Voltage [Auto]
***************************
CPU Spread Spectrum [Disabled]
PCIE Spread Spectrum [Disabled]

*Cool'n'Quiet [Disabled]

I tried to change the CPU Ratio to 17.5x and the CPU Voltage to 1.4625 but after some minutes with prime95 the computer restart!

Help me!!!

Just a heads up, 4GHz is not a guarantee, even for C3 stepping.

As for your question, here are my settings (I'm running a 955):

AI Overclock Tuner [Manual]
CPU Ratio [20.0x]
FSB Frequency [200]
PCIE Frequency [100]
DRAM Frequency [1333MHz]
DRAM Timings are [7-7-7-21]
CPU/NB Frequency [2800Hz]
HT Link Speed [2000MHz]
***************************
CPU Voltage [1.4625]
CPU/NB Voltage [1.350]
DRAM Voltage [1.645]
HT Voltage [Auto]
NB Voltage [+100mV]
SB Voltage [Auto]
***************************
*Cool'n'Quiet [Disabled]

Your chip will likely not clock exactly the same as mine so you will most likely need to adjust the voltages accordingly (try 1.475-1.5V).

I really want to overclock my ram... That's why my FSB is at 217 so my rams are running at 1447Mhz! But if I understand correctly I have just to set my CPU Voltage higher? And what do you do with the CPU VDDA Voltage?

I agree, it might be worth trying with just the CPU multiplier first to rule out anything else. Was your system stable at 3.7GHz?

Work on tightening your timings, a 114MHz RAM overclock won't give you a huge performance boost.

Im willing to be the problem is your ram. Do your best to keep it around 1333mhz. You could even try dropping it and lower your timings.
