I still prefer the Antec case over that one to be honest.

Here's what I have now:

DVD/CD Drive cut off, it's the only other thing you can't see in the picture, total price w/ shipping - $1322
I'm VERY certain that the Antec case is a mistake, but it's yours to make. Check through the list of cases I posted before you decide. All of them are better than the Antec 900/902/902v3

The build is really good other than that. The ATI card is the best bang for your buck because it can "unlock" to a 6970 through a simple bios flash. Now don't stress because the card has 2 separate bios's on it in case of problems so there's almost no risk, and you get a bunch of performance for free. Furthermore, the ATI cards have fixed their scaling issues of the past and the 6950's are being touted around the web as the bang for the buck choice of the moment.

As far as setting up the SSD, you simply install just the Windows copy, plus MS office, web-browsers, music players, potentially a game etc etc to it. Everything else gets "installed" or stored to the HDD and run from there. Read up on SSD's and be sure to read about usage too. For example, it's a good thing to defrag your HDD every week or so. SSD's should NEVER be defragged. There are differences worth knowing, but the difference in load times and reaction times is astonishing. You'll not go back. I know I need one now hahaha

I really like that Lian-Li Lancool K63 case you linked, thanks so much.. I have no clue how to "unlock" a card like you're saying though?

that Lian-Li PC K63 is BRAND SPANKING NEW !!!

haha, I really like that case, it fixed the only problem of the K62 (not enough intake fans for positive pressure).

The CM 922 is better because it has bigger (thus quieter and more efficient) fans, more room to work with inside, a better HDD mounting system.

As far as your computer sitting on a carpeted floor, well that's just ridiculous. Get it raised off the ground if at all possible. You are asking for troubles with dust and bits and junk putting it on the floor, especially with the newer cases all orienting the PSU intake from the bottom of the case - this allows the cables to stretch behind the motherboard for better cable management and separates the airflow to allow more fresh air for GPU's. It's wise, but it means you'll be forever cleaning your bottom PSU dust filter. Honestly it's really silly to have your PC on a carpeted floor. I'll never do it again after realizing all the problems. Gotta take care of your system.

Good good, go with the K63. It's a BRILLIANT case, much much much better than the Antec. I'm super stoked I got you to see that light

"Unlocking" a card is very easy - google, or search through the ATI/AMD forums on here for "unlocking 6950".

Basically the 6950 and 6970 are the same exact card, AMD just disables certain features in the 6950 to make it less powerfull. You will copy over an edited bios to the 6950 and "tell" it to behave like a 6970, effectively getting all the extra performance for free.

The memory in the combo w/ a motherboard that the OP is looking at now is better than this (higher headroom for OC), and works out to cost almost the same. The combo deal is probably best, though this memory is a great deal also.

Haha.. I can do that, I'll find something.. -- how's the airflow in the K63? That's one of the reasons I was picking the Antec, along with the look & other features of course..
