How's this for a gaming system? ($350) - Page 2

PSU is way overkill for this system. Q6600 is one of the slowest quad core intel CPUs since it was one of the few to be made on a 65nm fabrication.

$100 after MIR sounds good for a 460

No

Maybe 3.6Ghz. I don't know about 4.0 though
Will this whole system able to OC to 3.6ghz you think (w/o swapping out anything)? Someone mentioned about buying the Master Cooler, what about the H50 or H60 water cooling? For this system I plan on keeping the case and PSU if I do decide to work on an i7 Sandy Bridge build. So a nice H50 or H60 will be nice and I can still use for next build!

Not bad at all!! I would buy it ( offer him 300.00 ) its worth it (IMO)

I would upgrade this ( if possible )
1. new larger hdd drive
2. faster ram 1066 or faster!
3. second gts 250 for sli!!

All these upgrades could be had real cheap and make that a reall decent rig for not much cash! ( just my opinion)

PS dont worry about all the sandybrIdge comments or people saying change this or dont buy that! THEY DIDNT BOTHER TO READ YOUR THREAD ( THAT YOU ARE BUYING THIS USED)

Yeah I was thinking about SLI too. Is it worth it to SLI or just buy a 6850 for ~150?

Also if I do SLI, do I have to get the exact card? or can it just be ANY GTS 250?

Trust me when i went from a single gts 250 ( i own 3 of that exact same card) Its huge huge improvement! And they are real cheap these days! ( great bang for your buck)

any gts 250 with 512mb will work for SLI! i SAW THE XFX FOR $69.00 ( I PAID OVER A HUNDRED FOR ALL MINE)

SLI GTS 250 or Single ATI 6850?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-513-_-Product

95 (65 AR) VS. 170 (150 AR) and sell GTS 250 for ~50 on eBay? so 150 AR - 50 = 100? O.o

Ok sweet! The main reason I was aiming for the 6850 is for eyeFinity! Will the CPU bottleneck it?

Also if I SLI 2x GTS 250 do they need to be the same brand? I noticed there is a 512MB version and a 1024MB version O.o

P.S Repped Mike was going to rep everyone but I have too low of rep
