@Heret|c... I was leaning towards Nvidia at first, however, on every benchmark I've looked at the AMD cards get quite a bit more FPS at high resolutions. From my understanding they scale in Crossfire much better than the Nvidia cards do in SLI...? I'm really not looking for biased opinions, and at this point, after looking at numerous benchmarks, Nvidia is out of the question.
I have a seasonic 650w x series PSU which should be sufficient for Crossfire on 6950's but I would definately need to upgrade if I went with 6970's. I'll update my other specs in the CP.
I'm about pretty much set on getting the "Msi 6950 Frozr III" or the "Msi 6970 Lightning" and then going dual in about a month or so...
I like the fact that they are quieter and provide better cooling for higher OC'ing. Only downside, no back plate.
I figure playing at lower settings for now is fine as long as I can get playable FPS on the games I play the most... (Black Ops, BFBC2)Edited by SHMaRiM - 4/14/11 at 9:12pm
