ATI equivalent of GT 430?

In the market for an HTPC card, but I don't really know anything about ATI's current-gen entry level cards.

What cards do they have that compete with the GT 430/440? And do ATI cards have any unique features that lend themselves to media playback?

Hmm, how do you like yours? The 430 actually seems to be ~$20 cheaper atm.

the HD 5670 is just about a 9800GT without the need of 6pin PCIE

excellent running card IMO

Oh wow, really? That explains the extra cost. I'll have to look into some reviews on it. biggrin.gif

Question: What exactly is ATI Avivo? Does this actually improve video playback or is it more of a gimmick? Either way I'm pretty sold on the 5670, haha.

The 5670 is a very solid choice, only advantage on the Nvidia side would be a little extra folding on the side tongue.gif
