Hi all, ofcourse im back on the forums.
I got a donated laptop, After some research i realized that the specific Nvidia Chipset had frequent complains and problems with heat causeing damage

Compaq presario F730us. Uses the Nvidia 430 Chipset (Nvidia go 6100)
the dang thing runs like its a oven, I took the case totaly apart so i can monitor the bored while i Stress test it. after 45mins of prime95 i noticed that the Chipset was well over 80c, after seeing this i imediatly powered down the laptop. I took a used Heatsink that fit just perfect over it. Ran some more tests and realized the chipset is still running over 70c, Memory is about 40c, and the proccesor Idle is 40c Max load 65c The hardrive is running hot to touch as well

Please look over the posting screenshots and let me know if its normal, Running hot, Or baking like a pan of bacon

Its a laptop so due to the restricted airflow and the limited heatsink size id say 80*c for a nvidia 430 is pretty good. It is hot but when you consider that the max temp it can handle would be 100*c its fine.

There are two sides of the story:
1.It is normal for a laptop chipset to be hot
2.This Nvidia chipset, aside from being hot, is also prone to failure if it passes thru enough hot/cold cycles

Yours seems just a bit too warm. I had a 430-based HP laptop that went 60-65°C on the chipset and still after about two years it began showing signs of fatigue and artifact-ing occasionally (like a too-far-OCed GPU). Imho you could either try to: cool it down by accelerating fan speed/by undervolting the CPU (same heatpipe as the NB)/limit the max clock speed of the CPU/run lighter-weight apps that don't heat up the lappy as much/use a laptop cooler... or just use it as it is and hope for the best.

I did Change cooling compound on CPU-GPU,
Also the wireless card was actualy completly damage and destoyed from the heat of the chipset in the past. Since i do not have awireless card right above it. I added a Small slim chipset heatsink off a old Mobo still being able to close it up.
