I used a CM V8 before,should get u to 4GHz no problem,but not 4.2 though:D

Pretty sure those hit 4.1ghz at 1.5v a lot of the time, and the V8 could easily handle that. You really just have to see for yourself. As long as your temps are below 62c on full load, then you good. I personally dont like to see them over 55c on a Phenom II but my V8 does a really good job keeping mine at 50c at 1.5v on full load.

I previously had a good 965c3 that can hit 4.2GHz,but load at 60-61c at 1.48v,cranking up to 1.5v to hit 4.1GHz will definitely shorten your cpu life span by a notch,then again the choice is yours,IMO,the CM V8 is all about bling but lame performance,I won't try 4.1GHz on a thuban unless I have a decent push/pull cooler.Compare a CM V8 with TT Frio & see the difference
