So, uhh, is this supposed to happen?

Long story short, I accidentally unplugged an external drive on which Windows apparently had some cache and got a blue screen few minutes afterwards. All seems to be working fine now, even /sfc scannow didn't find any errors, but I sure I hope I didn't damage anything.

Hmm. Boot up without the external HDD and see if it still can work without it.

Yeah, it works just fine, it was first time I used this external drive anyway or removed it for that matter.

This can happen if a progam has an open handle to a file on the hdd and doesn't realise it's unavailable until it tries to read/write on it.

There is a hotfix which 'apparently' fixes it, but I doubt it does since unplugging USB hdds without ejecting them isn't a great thing to do anyway

Yeah, I forgot to mention, this one is indeed a USB drive.
