[BTUK] Biostar TP67XE B3 Review

It's a much nicer place to live this bios. Nice to look at, fast, and easy to use. A lot of the aforementioned issues are fixed in various beta bios's. You can take you base clock all the way down to 9500 in the bios which is 99.4 in windows, a little odd but it works. Pll ranges from 1.45 up to 2.5. CPU wattage can be set up to 200 and 180 amps, no bsod on resume from sleep, and there are profile options, much much better. It's not quite perfect yet but there is more to come. More load line calibration options are on the way, at the moment it's just on or off although there is a separate beta with a lowered load line voltage it's still not a cure. Enabling LLC results in 20mv of droop which is inconsistent and bounces around like a yoyo depending on how much you are loading the cpu which makes stability an issue at high clocks, disabling results in up to 50mv of overshoot, which is quite drastic but is easier to stabilize. The only other voltage that is off is VDIMM which is also about 20mv lower in windows than the bios but doesn't bounce. You do get the option to change the switching frequency which is a nice touch, not had a chance to play with that one yet.
Source.

I want one!

I just wish the layout was a bit better. Would like to see a PCI-E x1 slot above the first x16, and eliminate the one immediately under the x16. Seems other companies are starting to do this (including the other P67 Biostar board, but it lacks the x1 above the top x16 slot).

But hey, can't be too picky for the price.
