Go to the shortcut you use to launch the GPU client (probably in your startup folder if it's set to auto-start). Right-click it and select properties.

In the "Target" field:
--If you have a fermi card (400/500 series card) add this to the end of the field after the location of the executable

--If you have any other nvidia card add this to the end of the target field after the location of the executeable

Now close the client and re-launch it using this updated shortcut..
He is using GPU tracker.

Not wanting to mess with the GPU client i started playing a game with just the SMP running.

While playing the game after about 3hrs, my pc froze up nothing worked (ctrl+alt+delte). So I did a manual shut down/restart.

Tried running the GPU client after and its working now.

So what do u guys think, is it a software/driver issue or do u think my vid card could just be bad?

I guess next time it messes up ill switch to V7, tyvm for the help every1.

If you are crashing in games it might be your GPU.
Have you tried running Furmark, Kombuster, OCCT to stress test?

Ive done OCCT no errors, and Kombuster I would get some artifacting very randomly but when i dialed down the overclock i havent been able to replicate it. Ive run 3dMark Vantage and 3dMark 11 dont see anything.

i got the latest 266.66 used DriverSweeper when installing them too, im beginning to think the card is faulty and i should RMA it. Even though it works great 95% of the time 5% is 5 too much for it to mess up.

I would try another set of drivers before you RMA.
Doing an RMA is not fun since you are left with nothing while you wait for however long that is.
