2600K @ 4,5GHz + H70 = 72°C? - Page 2

I would recommend getting this paste over Arctic, which is already outdated. Shin-Etsu Thermal Interface

Automatic tools usually put much higher voltage than you really need, and this causing higher temps. Go over this article at TomsHardware. Reset all your settings by default (in Bios) and apply your new knowledge.

hahaha. the paste on the h70s is known to be one of the best....

Honest the h70 is no miracle worker. but a lotta benches show replacing the fans is def the way to go, as Skripka recommended.

Those temps sound about right to me. As others have suggested, get two stronger fans for a push/pull setup and your temperatures will be much lower.

you meant cpu die cast temp or core temp?
if you talking a bout core temp, it's absolutely normal
mine running 4.4 @1.28v 2600k, with H70, idle core temp around 30, prime95 blend test highest core temp around 67.

so I guess it's normal.
I tried overclock to 4.7 1.35v idle 33, prime95 blend test 73

the acoustic temperature around 23-25

OP, you can also check in your BIOS or using HWMonitor to see if the pump is running at max RPMs. I have the H50, and my pump runs between 1350-1360RPMs. I believe it should be running at 1400RPMs or something, but I haven't tried any other headers on my new mobo yet to see if I can get it running closer.

Even with it running at 1350 or so, I'm running a 4.5Ghz OC on my 2500K with my UK's at 2100RPMs and I still only get to 66c or so running LinX for 50 runs. I haven't ran Prime yet.

iirc, Arctic Silver takes about 200 hours to set, so until then your temps will be higher than they will be after it sets.
