My Temps Ridiculously High

Thread Starter
Hey Everyone,

I've installed my first ever water cooling equipment but my temps are the same as using a Air CPU Cooler:

I no it looks a mess but i'm setting up the Heatmaster as well

Can you think of any reasons why?

Thanks

Maybe you didn't use the right amount on TIM or your block isn't tight enough against your CPU. What kind of TIM did you use? Some have a break in period before you see a difference

You could take off your block and see how the TIM spread, if you have full coverage or too much coming off the sides of the CPU.

I take it those are idle temps, not load.

By the 12C difference between the two cores I would suggest a mounting issue. Take the block off and see how the TIM is spread, try to re-mount it and see what you get.

Also, WC idle temps are not all that much better than on air, load temps are where it is at.

Edit: I can't really see your loop too well on that pic, do you have another one which is taken from a lower angle?

Try tightening your block, If it's not sitting directly on the CPU you'll have an air pocket, which you don't want.

Are you putting even pressure on your block? I like to measure the amount of thread sticking out above the thumb screw and make sure that they are even.

Also, load it up (Prime 95 / OCCT) and tell us what you get then.

what tubes are u using? 1/2"?
Also, Ginger is right, focus on load temps not idle temps.

Whats your loop order? Res > Rad > CPU?
and sorry for not being able to see, but what set up are your fans in? Push/Pull or just Pull?

Tubing is 3/8

Order: Res > Pump > Rad > CPU

Fans Pull only, until i get more fans.

Kit im using is EK-KIT H3O - Supreme HF 360

I'm running OCCT (Never Used before, new to OCing )
