I liked Windows ME a lot.

But of course I prefer Win 7.

XP wasn't bad, though. Stable and lightweight. Of what I ren remember, that is ..

when i had vista i had like 50 fps in css. when i went back to windows xp i had my stable 130 again. didnt try windows 7 . is xp the best in terms of performance ?

Windows 7 - Possibly the first version of Windows without massive bugs on launch... unless you consider Vista a paid Beta for 7
Windows XP - Had some issues on launch, including spotty driver support, but was generally stable and easy on system resources.
Windows 98 SE - The original release of 98 wasn't very stable, but SE was the version that stood above the rest when there were the confusing options of NT, 2k and ME.
Windows 2000 - Wonderfully stable, NTFS > FAT32, but it took some tinkering to get some games to run.

That's my top 4 favorite Windows versions for their time.

Windows 7 hands down.
Xp follows closely.

Windows 8 I think wont be as succesfull as Windows 7.

Remember? Microsoft gets it right only the alternate version of Windows?
