8+1 power phase but no vrm heatsink. so, wouldnt recommend it if you are looking for heavy cpu oc. online ratings not that good either. I dont think this is worth buying.
If you do not want to use crossfire, get the 88td-v-evo board. If you think that you might be interested in crossfire in the future, get a board with 890gx chipset. 890fx boards a rather costly. And also, 8gb memory might not be that useful if you are not into using virtual machine.

That should be a fine mobo for OC-ing 125Ws below 1.5V or so
Be sure you're getting the 212+ somewhere other than Newegg; there are places where you can get 212+ for less than half price and at $42 shipped you could get a Scythe Mugen which gives the 212+ a good wedgie

It's a smaller than normal board, the right side has no stand-offs. I OC my 965 4.0ghz with 236.8x17 and have had no issues so far with the vrms. I have a spare vr004 sink kit left from my GTX480 AC Acelero X-tream plus installation I might just pop on them one day though.
Aside from that it can SLI but 4x (which makes little difference from 16X) but there wouldn't be room for much else.
I recommend it though for single GPU set ups, in the end the size of it really has no impact on it considering it's packed with all kinds of the usual Asus features
