your psu can easily handle a hd6950 2gb,
bulldozer is the code name of amd's next generation cpu (fx series)
if u can oc your cpu to 3.7ghz or above it wont bottleneck hd6950 2gb,so u dont need to change your cpu

1. Bulldozer is the next generation of AMD processors, which are not released yet.

2. You can tell if a board is AM3 or not by just reading the specifications. All of the following boards on this link are AM3. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...eId=1&name=AM3

Unless you have the cash to burn snatch up 1 or 2x 6950's (for the cost of a single 580) and unlock you will not be disappointed! Don't get me wrong the GTX 580 is a monster card and performs so, It even runs cooler than a Sapphire HD 6970 that I recently picked up!

get hd6950 2gb,unlock it to a hd6970,
infact u can buy 2x hd6950 for the same price of a single gtx580,
2x hd6950 (unlocked to hd6970) will double the performence of gtx580 for the same price.
Hope this helps
thank you yes it helped out a lot! rep was left for that
